Having access to news is very important, and most of the time the barrier of language makes it difficult to access them.
Today, I would like to promote a database, that is in my opinion underused, but important, especially if you are looking for non-western news.
MideastWire is an online platform based in Lebanon. Created in 2005, this news service employs a team of translators that translate news from 22 Arab countries and the Arab media Diaspora into English.
Everyday a selection of articles is published from different journals. The sources are always mentioned.
You can refine your search by publication dates (from 2005), journal titles, subjects and/or by countries.
In French the journal Courrier International, is also proposing articles, translated in French, coming from different newspapers in the world.
The access is through the database Europresse.
