Introduction

All AUP alumni are welcome to use the AUP Library, located in the Quai d’Orsay Learning Commons. They need to use their AUP Alumni Pass to enter the AUP Library and identify themselves.  All library resources are available on-site.

 

At the AUP Library

  • Alumni can enter with their AUP Alumni Pass
  •  Alumni fill out & sign the library’s patron input form at the Library Service Desk during our regular hours, when Library Service Desk is open: https://library.aup.edu/hours
  • Alumni deposit €150 in cash at the Library Service Desk (only used for replacement of lost/damaged materials) and receive a stamped, dated receipt

 

Features

  • Building access privileges are the same as for current students
  • Validity of card is indefinite
  • Borrowing rights: 3 items in total for 21 days
  •  4 possible renewals
  • Films: no borrowing possible
  • Reserves: no borrowing possible
  • Access to databases or eBook collections: only on-site (or listed on alumni page)
  • ILL & Doc delivery: need to pay in advance - paid service: €30
  • Fines, recall fines, and lost fees apply - see Fines Policies.

 

Billing

  • If a borrowed item is lost, Alumni pay a flat fee (€40) for books + processing fee (€16) - see Fines Policies.
  •  If an item is lost and replacement fee is taken out of the deposit, Alumni need to replenish the deposit back up to €150.

 

 

Alumni Pass

Before entering the AUP Library

  • Alumni need to request an alumni card with barcode (JSMITH) at the Alumni Office, which normally takes 1-2 weeks (depending upon whether you are picking it up or having it posted to you)
  •  Alumni get the card from the Alumni office when it’s ready.
