Full Text or Abstracts?

Remember: many indexes provide citations and abstracts but do not feature articles in 'full-text' format.  In order to locate the full text of articles you find cited, please proceed as follows:

The Four Steps to Full Text

  1. Go to Browse a List of Journals on the library homepage. Type in the JOURNAL TITLE (not article title) and if the library has the journal in either print, online or a database the results will come up. Remember to search by publication title.
  2. If not found in the AUP Library collection, check CCFR  and Sudoc (university libraries only) to locate the title in other Paris libraries (if unfamiliar with these tools, ask for help at the Service Desk). If the title is available locally, you may be able to go photocopy it in that library.
  3. If not found in the above indexes, fill out a Document Delivery request online or go the Service Desk and ask them for a paper form.  The library cannot guarantee how long it will take to locate this material but articles normally come fairly quickly (it can take as little as 1 day or as long as 3 weeks).
  4. If you have any problems, ask for help at the Service Desk or on the feedback form
